I have these two Confederate $100 bills one is from Alabama 1864 and the other is from Mississippi but I can't date it. The Mississippi bill is only printed on one side. I can't find any other bills like it online and I'm hoping it's a rare piece. I was wondering what each bill is worth and what years they were produced.

Thanks, Owen m.

What does the paper feel like? Is it crisp? Honestly, they look like facsimile notes. The signatures are too black....should be and orangish brown color.

What I was afraid of. Were they real they would have been printed on a thin rice paper not the parchment like paper they are on. These are common reproductions that are sold at many historical sites. The ink in the signatures would have contained iron and would have faded to a brownish orange color.

I actually just bent and curled the corner of the alabama note and nothing happened. How do I determine what paper it is printed on?

Only real value is in learning what a repro note looks and feels like.

The Alabama note has a replica/counterfiet serial number. can't see the Mississippi serial but it looks to be a replica as well...paper color and quality

Here is a good site to check on any old obsoletes and confederates

They are both copies made by the Historical Products Company.

Here is another website to check out reproductions of Confederate and Southern State notes:
