I may be being harsh, but I see it being in the VF territory because of the wear and possible environmental damage. Nice portrait details on this coin!

My first impression was VF-35, but I could see this going to EF-40.

Nice details on a rare coin!!

Thanks all I had it at XF40 so I guess that is close. In hand it does not look like environmental damage and believe this would easily grade. Not that it will ever be in plastic, something so wrWow about old copper in a coffin....imo.

I would call this VF35, mainly due to the reverse wear. the obverse could pass as XF40
