Just wanting your opinions if the single coin would be a good investment for re-sale? I know the subscription would be and I grab some of those for myself...but what about the single coins? I didnt have a chance to get any off the site but I did see a bunch at my local PO I could purchase....what do you think?

I think it is a decent investment. Expect a potential buyer from the US.

Disagree. I think the non-silver 25 cent coin is a better investment. Base metal coins seam to be more popular right now and this coin fit right in with the bird series. I think a lot of the bird series collectors will buy this coin too. Add to that the fact that its a ducks unlimited coin and you have a bigger hit. Silver does not guarantee investment potential, especially with the premium the mint charges on the silver in their coins. If you want silver as an investment buy bullion coins this summer. I have a feeling silver is going down to the mid twenties. Good buying opportunity. Over all silver coins from last year have not done well as investment; ie Batemen moose, two loons, the lucky loonie, and the mantis coin. All can be had for less than the original retail price and all were over hyped.
That being said the subscription with the box will do ok, but I am not buying any.

I guess the true test will be once the entire series is done in approximately 18 months. Then again, no one will know until that day arrives. Personally, I purchased 1 subscription for my own collection and not to flip.

I don't disagree that the 25 cent Mallard will be a good investment, but I think the silver one will be, as well. The subscription is (apparently) sold out on the first day of issue to the general public. There will probably be a number of people who would have bought a subscription who will be disappointed, and so will now be after the "consolation" prize--buying each coin individually. I think you would do well to pick up a few of this, at your PO or wherever, and the Northern Pintail Duck & Wood Duck as they come up, too. I definitely see a market for them, independent of the silver content--strictly on the "collectibility" (if that's a word) of them. Again, though, I totally agree with Dooby Rak's comments on the 25 cent Mallard. I'd buy a few of both if I had resale in mind!

Sorry, I don't consider any NCLT an 'investment'. To qualify as an investment it would have to have better than even odds of increasing in value (I go with actual sale value and not book value here) over time. Check some of the other threads on this topic for more details and opinions. Consider them more in the category of lottery tickets. Every so often one will take off; odds are it won't be yours.
That being said I did order the subscription for my collection :-).

Are these ducks coins available at Canada Post? How come I don't see them on CP's website? Beside Gatewest (limit 1 per customer), anywhere else selling these that I can buy online?

At my local PO, the person who deals with the coins, told me the same: all (part of them) new orders from the March release will be available via Canada Post and in PO.
I wanted to see the Duck coin.
