I am very interested in what the experts will post on this coin. I have several coins in this condition that I am having trouble identifying. I did order a book today, that I hope will give me more knowledge in colonial coins.

This looks to be a 1786, but I thought James Jarvis only punctuated with cinquefoils (recognize them from the Fugios?), and he didn't do 1786s. Where am I going wrong?

Your hoping it's a 7-K ;-) Are you certain it's a 1786?

I've decided it has to be a 1787, with one of the Miller 33 obverses, and probably one of the Miller Z reverses. Am I warm?

In hand it looks like a 6...I want it to be a 6 but it is too far gone for me to be conclusive.. Quote: Am I warm? I honestly do not know. I was hoping you two could tell...
