It doesn't make much sense for people to put out millions of dollars worth of gold and rare artifacts in the mountains. Even if it is real, it is a very little chance for you to find it. Do you think for one minute that someone could find that treasure and not tell someone? He probably told his wife who told a BFF who is passing it around on the QT to their BFF who in the interest of secrecy is just telling a select few who are bound by the rules of secrecy for a 20 second cooling off period before moving along in the confirmation process.
