I just thought I would make this post about my day. It would be nice if others shared their stories too but only if your story has coins in it Today I looked at 600 Lincoln cents. Found 4 keepers and 150 copper. The ones I kept: 1964-P- AU-58 1967-P- AU-55 1968-P- Looks ms-63 but I say AU-58. 1972-S-XF (grades might be higher but I just listing them at that grade. The coins show no wear on the person or back. But copper has light wear. They might be ms-60 something but I don't feel like grading them)

You obviously life a life of leisure. I get up at 6:10Am to be at work by 8:00am. I toil all day to put food on the table and at 8:00Pm, I leave work. I emptied out the ashtray in the van and looked through the change. Nothing but State Quarters and crappy rosies so I bought a Coke with them on the way back to the trailer park.

*Reads Raymo sentence* * Keeps reading it over and over* I'm not understanding it
@Andrew, I'm still asleep at 6am.
@jbuck, well, you better go get a box of coins from the bank from for the weekend and enjoy them. Or perhaps, get some rolls and take all the copper out like I did. I roll the copper ones up and the zinc ones but in separate rolls. Then I label them so I know what's inside.

I think Andrew was just having a bad day. I think I'll stop at the bank on my way to a late lunch and pick up some rolls of nickels to go through with my daughter after her homework. Maybe we'll fill a few holes in her whitman folders. A good use of time...

One of those "I wish I had not heard that" moments: I bank at one what I'd call a regional bank. Today, I stopped by the branck that my grandparents have been going to for the past 12 years, they all know me. One of the tellers that works there, friend of my late grandmother, grandpa, and I, has been subbing at other branches certain days a week. She told me that at her till in a town 30 miles away, she has a silver half, and she could sell it to me there if I visited there next Mon or Fri. I'm tied up at school all day those days

I went to a garage sale while at work and found someone selling a H.E. Harris 1941-1974 Lincoln Cent folder with only 2 missing (43D and 43S steel) for .50 cents. Nothing super nice in it but for a 99.9% complete album of cents, I'll take it. Why not. I was just surprised at the price tag. The straight-up face value of the money was .92 cents. I even tried to offer $2.00 for it but the guy said "It's .50 cents sir." Ooooookay, here you go. Then he asked if I saw the 1962-1995 Jefferson nickel folder (I had not). It was complete and he had it for sale at $1.50. There's $3.30 in nickels in it. I have no idea what he was smoking but I liked his prices.

@52Raymo, google said 1942 I think, I am 19.
@ninamason, I started saving nickels. I rolled up ones from 50s to today's date.
@skyshark124, Now that's a funny story :) You could easily buy the missing ones.
Does anyone happen to have 1982 zinc pennies? I need some to fill my books. Just 4 of them. Small dates for P and Large dates for the D. Any grade is fine. I have lots of copper large dates, (P). But they just out of change ones. Copper = 3.1 or sometimes 3.0 Zinc = 2.5 or sometimes 2.6
