Has anyone ever seen a 1861 quarter eagle with a dot above the 13th Star?

Is this a Variety or Error or what?

We would need to see an image to verify. Dots from chipped dies or a misplaced punch are not unusual on 19th century U.S. coinage. Dots can also be signs of a counterfeit.
