I know there aren't too many fakes of this coin out there, and the only problem I've seen with this one is the line around George head.

It looks like someone drew that with a pencil or something, but I'm not a real collector of these coin, so it might indicate something else.

I've got this one from ebay, and the grey box and missing half circle was done by me to hide the seller's name.

So.. Is it real, and if it is, does it have any value over melt?

Thanks.

The line around George's head. Looks a bit weird.

I agree that it looks like a pencil line or similar in this picture.
Pencil lead is composed of carbon with varying amounts of sub microscopic clay particles depending on the hardness of the lead, combined with a trace of binding material.

If it IS a pencil outline, it can be removed with an orange stick or toothpick, tipped with a small bead of cotton wool.

This florin looks to be in nearly uncirculated condition, with only the tiniest amount of wear on the high points of the crowns, the orbs of the sceptres and the lions' faces. Quite often with these, the lions' faces are not fully struck up.
