Pardon the fishing metaphor

Anyway, I got a little over $500 in coins that had belonged to someone but their family deposited it after they passed.

Got 2 40% halves out of the teller's tray, 17 ikes, a nice pile of copper, and WAY too many State Quarters.

Like, $400+ in State Quarters. I was hoping something else would be there, but they are solid rolls of unc (not bank rolled) State Quarters.

It seems there is absolutely no demand for these when I looked on ebay. Sooo... Ditch em?

It would be a shame to just toss them into circulation.

Is the collection of State Quarters extensive enough to provide one or more sets of one roll of every state?

Use the State Quarters to buy some gas for your car so you can drive around and look for some real coins to collect .

Now that I've offended all the State Quarter collectors, let the hanging commence .

Just in case you think I'm serious, I was joking. I would use the State Quarters for trade or find a collector who wants them.

I looked on ebay, even the bank rolled State Quarters weren't selling. I think like Freddy said, if I wanted to I would have to put sets together to sell them.
I have sold a set before that was a littleton unc 1999-2011 set for about double face. I think it would take a lot of time to try and make the sets, photograph, etc. Not sure its worth my time....

Have you checked local coin shops?
They wont give you much for them I'm sure, but at least they dont have to go into circulation.

I think you should see how many sets you can make with the quarters. That way you can still make a profit off of them.
