IMO I think the mint should come out with some kind of fish coins that have hologram in background for water. You could have the different native species to Canada ie. Northern Pike?

That's a good idea, I can see the Mint doing something like that in the future.

As much as I hate giving away free ideas I'll play along. This is a hard subject because they have covered almost every topic. Also regional coins won't be very popular so the theme would have to be universal.
I would go with a Movie Star series. Show the stars in some of their more famous movie roles. It would have to be a colored coin and 25 cents to keep the price down. They would be expensive since they would have to probably pay to use the images. Here are some possible people to be featured:
• Dan Aykroyd Born July 1, 1952 in Ottawa, Ontario. Best known as an original member of the SNL crew. • Michael J. Fox Born June 9, 1961 in Edmonton, Alberta. • Graham Greene Born June 22, 1952 on the Six Nations Reserve, Ontario. • Christopher Plummer Born December 13, 1929 in Toronto, Ontario. • William Shatner Born March 22, 1931 in Montréal, Québec. • Donald Sutherland Born July 17, 1935 in Saint John, New Brunswick. • Alan Thicke Born March 1, 1947 in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. • Margot Kidder Born October 17, 1948 in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. • Catherine O´Hara Born March 4, 1954 in Toronto, Ontario. • Sarah Polley Born January 8, 1979 in Toronto, Ontario. • Shannon Tweed Born March 10, 1957 in St. John's, Newfoundland. • Jim Carrey Born January 17, 1962 in Newmarket, Ontario • Rich Little Born November 26, 1938 in Ottawa Ontario. • Mike Myers Michael John Myers was born in 1963 in Scarborough, Ontario. • Leslie Nielsen Born February 11, 1926 in Regina, Saskatchewan. Prefers comic roles. • Dave Thomas Born May 20, 1949 in St. Catharines, Ontario

I think Mlalonde meant 'trees'.
I would definitely be interested in fish coins.

I hope they can do a true series of "Floral Emblems of Canada", one coin for each province and territory. Coloured coin but no crystal. It would be wonderful if they can do this after the 1/2oz O Canada series is completed. http://members.shaw.ca/kcic1/flowers.html

Yah, its actually a good idea. Could have two series; a silver color on engraving and a nickle color only set. Could even be expanded to special issue quarters. People would love it. It is a good way to celebrate Canada's 150th anniversary, 2017. if they issue 4 coins a year that's a 3 year series.
We should petition the mint about this one.

If they did. Could we have money back for the "Ideal copyright" ? At least give us a set for free. Lol.

For fresh water fish... I like crappies and sunfish! They are the only fish that showed interest in my backyard worms

There probably wouldn't be much interest for this, but I personally would love to see the RCM do some sort of coloured multicultural food coin series. It would be interesting to see dim sum, poutine, kimchi, maple syrup, tourtiere on coins. They could house the coins in some sort of commemorative food replica tin. I'd buy the entire series.
