Daheck? Is this a plated coin, bad lighting, or some odd variety? Either way it sold for more bucks than the Allegheny forest boasts.

Wow. Someone is gonna be disappointed when they receive that. Looks like all bad lighting and toning like Basebal said. The left rim on each picture shows the silver color. Why would someone think a Susan B. Anthony dollar is one of the Gold Eagles...

Look at the sellers other items. I believe they think that Sacagawea dollars and Presidential dollars are actually gold..

There is according to "Strike it Rich with pocket change " 3rd addition a 1999-P Susan B accidentally struck on blank coin intended for use on
the 2000 Sacagawea dollar. Maybe they got the date wrong? Or just "Wishing and Hoping........." Gold LOL.

Yeah, when I looked it all over I figured he really wasn't aware of what he was selling, but it seems at least 2 people got into a pretty extensive bid war that didn't know what they were buying either.

Wait...The SBA's aren't made of gold?

I can't believe it sold for $61. ebay amazes me every time I log on. You would think that online auctions would bring lower prices but it has some of the highest prices on the internet.

It will be returned...."not as described"

1) not gold
2) not dated 1779

Still has to be a loser to even waste time bidding on it....

Beware scammer! Seller listed a 1979 coin as 1779, then refused to cancel sale.

Seems both sides are idiots...buyer for bidding $61 for a $1 coin and the seller, well both for being himself AND refusing to cancel the sale.

So the buyer will get the coin, return it, and it is just a waste of time for both of the clueless clan

(it DID say 1979 in the description)...

LOL! I didn't even notice the "1779" in the description. Did the bidder not even glance at the photographs? While the color may be misleading, the date on the coin is clearly visible.
