Well I don't normally look for these and I am having somewhat of a hard time over here. I think my eyes are starting to fail me.

Is this a wide or Close AM?
I can try to take better picture if you cant tell from these, but I am using my phone so its a pain.

After zooming in at 750%, both the spacing between the A&M and the "G" in "FG" looks correct, I would say if dated between 1998 & 2000 you have the Wide AM variety.

That was the last year for the Wide AM and not the type 2 proof reverse ( Wide AM) found on 1998 - 2000, and sadly what you have is only worth it's weight in copper.

What the heck does the tie have to do with it? CAM and WAM are REVERSE DESIGN VARIETIES and have nothing to do with the the obverse side of the coin.

I know what it is but I was stating that if your not sure if its a WAM or cam too look at the tie because they are distinctively different compare the two.

Yeah,in order for a 92' to be a "A.M." variety,it must be the opposite than the '98-2000' A.M. Same for the Proof 1999 set,it is the opposite than the wide A.M. mint state ones.Best thing,as stated already, check the websites! The 1992 "close A.M." is one of the rarest varieties in the business. If one finds one, well,a huge congrats.to ya buddy! Mega bucks! Esp.in top, pristine condition. -joey Opposite= AMERICA as oppose to A MERICA! EX:1998-2000 Wide A.M. mint state= A MERICA, Proof 1999= AMERICA, 1992 Close A.M. variety= AMERICA

here's an idea.Find yourself a '91 and a '93 in fair shape. put them in 2x2's side by side. label the '91 example WAM ans the '93 example CAM. When unsure compare you coin to these.

1982 was the last year for copper coins anything after that in copper is either a fake or worth a heck of a lot more than "it's weight in copper".

Sorry DrDon,

I know that 1982 was the transition year and at 3AM (when I posted a reply), some of my brain cells must have been sleeping.
