Is this common? What's the possible value of such a coin?
I rescanned the face. There is a slight image there. The coin is a 1995. Holding at certain angles you see some slight details. The new scan also looks slightly better.

Your coin looks was struck through a capped die. Nice find. But I've never seen the devices showing hear the rim before? And the reverse rim at 9:00 looks bent? So I'm questioning it being real. It may be, but these two things concern me. Maybe Mike Diamond will chime in on this one?

lol I just found one like that today but mine is the back that is flat and the face is just an outline I was thinking grease filled?

Are the rims there? If not it could be PMD. If they are there, images would help identify what happened to it?

The penny looks perfect except for the lack of a good impression on the front. You can see a slight outline of Lincoln and some of the date if you look closely.

It's probably the real deal. The bend on the reverse bothered me.
