Shame about the damage, could give it rub over with some olive oil see if it brings up the enamel,there's a book on enameled coins I'll see if I can dig it out and give you info.

I've always liked these enamelled coins. Often there is some great artwork on them, especially with George and the Dragon reverse enamelling.

Yours is all right, I've seen better and worse :)

very popular in the 19th CEntury.
High grades are very expensive nowadays.
I agree about the G&D examples.

Rummaging amongst the coins of the Great Britain Album at my local Coin Shoppe this colourful peacock of a coin really "winked" at me...
