Does anyone have a suggestion on what size printer labels I should use for 2x2 cardboard flips?

I've decided to put my high grade and mint state IHCs into Kointainers, then put those into 2x2 cardboard flips. They will be stored in archival binder pages. Dansco, I'm done with you!

I've encountered the same problem sticking raw coins into 2x2 cardboard flips and the Danscos - cardboard fibers on the coin, especially the rims. When using a nice loupe, they stick out like a sore thumb. On the 2x2s, the cardboard is often on the outside, but is still distracting.

I tried plastic flips for a while, but they get murky and SOMEHOW particles find their way in if you do not seal them. I won't mention the sliding windows on the Danscos, and how they dump loads of fibers and scuff up your coins if you are not careful about poking them all to one side... and you have to expose like 10 other coins to change one out.

I'm almost done with my IHC set and about half are MS. Having them in a Dansco is just making me very uneasy. Oh, and by putting them into binders I can collect them how they are suppose to be collected, or how I want to collect them. Not how Dansco tells me to collect. For example, I'll be expanding my IHC and Type Sets to include the set coins listed by PCGS.

By the way, can't wait for my new stereo microscope to get here!

Just use a pen or a sharpie and write neat if you really wanna do the label thing just a standard label maker that would be used for labeling folders.

I use blank return address labels.

Specifically Avery 8167 labels.

Just print, peel and place on everything up to Half dollar size. I have to do a little cutting on them, but they still work out nice.

Use a pencil to write on them. Then when you change your mind again, you can just erase that pencil writting, put your coins back in an Album, keep the now clean 2x2's for other coins.
