Okay, so since we all have found multiple 1964's (even in pocket change, go check, you will probably find one.) What if they had the same mintage and.. they were.. *drumroll* Silver! Although we probably would not of found them in circulation as much - definitely - it would still be cool.

I've done a few rolls and I still got A LOT. But it's 1964 so...) I haven't tallied my 1964's. How many do you think you have gotten from roll searches or circulation? Mainly roll searches.

I work with a cash register, if I pulled all of the nickels out, probably 6 of them would be 64. They minted like 2 billion I think lol

if they were silver , you would find likely zero.

I think they minted 64's for a couple of years. I think they made them in 65 as well (someone can help out with details). That's why there are so any of them.

Correct, the Coinage Act of 1965 included a date freeze and 1964 dated coins were minted well into 1966.
