Hello members, I find the edge of this coin is quite different from other Latin 8R in my possession. The squares and circles of the edge are bold and large, do you think it is an original? Thank you your comments.
I put another Potosi portrait 8R, 1818 for comparison.
Specifications of both coins:
1818: 26.87 grams, 39.2-40.1 mm, SG 10.3
1823: 27.18 grams, 37.7-38.6 mm, SG10.26
Ring test: sound of silver heard, the pitch from the 1818 8R is more long-lasting.
Please see the pictures, the upper one is 1818.
