The US Mint will release its first coin featuring a train ( in this case, two trains) later this year- the Utah State Quarter.

In 1988 Albania issued two coins showing a train and a tunnel. The somewhat strange occasion was "42 years Albanian railways", but one of the coins is really cool.

This is the 5 leke (Cu-Ni) coin:

It may be difficult to recognize in the picture, but the tunnel on the latter is actually a hole.

In 2004 Austria issued a niobium coin for 150th Anniversary of the Alpine railway.

I had to dig around to find these two $5 Silver coins
The first is from the 1997 Masterpieces in Silver set celebrating the opening of the continent. Actual mintage is 10,000. (weight 35.79 grams)

The second is celebrating 150 Years of Steam Railways in Australia. (1854-2004) (1 troy oz silver 31.6 grams) Actual mintage 14,070
