Hi all, has anyone here had dealings with a Melbourne ebay seller whose identity starts with "bev". Nearly a month ago I bought a 2012 Macca guide ($10 + $5.50 postage) and it hasn't arrived yet. Over the last few days while following up it seems she sent it to a slightly different PO box address (NOT what was on my ebay or Paypal confirmations) and she is now trying to hit me up for an additional $10 to receive a replacement. Anyone else here had this sort of thing happen?

I think its pretty simple. The seller has not mailed it to you and they need to.

This is getting curiouser and curiouser. After many emails back and forth with the ebay seller, and forwarding and receiving ebay and Paypal emails, it seems that ebay has somehow churned up my old address that I changed last year. My ebay confirmation AND my ebay account show my correct and current address, but her ebay confirmation has my old address. Weird, man! I tried calling ebay just now to sort it, but the time zone difference meant I didn't catch them during opening hours. Work and night out tomorrow, so will follow up on the weekend and let you know how this happened and what resolution I get.

Presumably you have received other items since you changed address? It is now sounding like it might be an ebay problem. I have not heard of that happening before.

The end result was that after a 20 minute conversation with ebay, it transpires the seller obviously changed my mailing details within the ebay "confirmation of sale" email (to show the old one that she must have noticed on my Paypal account) before forwarded the email to me as "proof". Grrrrrrrr .. She was quite rude and aggressive trying to cover up her mistake (which would have only resulted from her snooping around my address history and other visible info in my Paypal account) but it really boggled me that she would go to that extreme to try to pin it on me to get me to pay TWICE for the book. ... By the way, I received my replacement book on Thursday and haven't heard a squeak or an apology from her since I relayed to her what ebay had confirmed. Also, even though the old address was still in my Paypal info, for at least a year, I have never had a problem with any purchases from innumerable internet purchases around the world. But just to be safe, I have deleted it now from my Paypal history.

Stop the press! I just received two emails from her.
1. My money was refunded 2. She still claims she did no wrong AND that as she is a minister of religion, "Somebody higher than you or I know that as well" ...
Anyway, it ended OK I guess, but I didn't want or expect to have the money refunded as I was happy just to receive my copy of Macca's guide finally.

Purchased the same book from the same seller at the same price and received it in the mail the next day. As an ebay seller! It just does not matter the buyer is always 300% correct. Even if you know as a seller you are being ripped off by a scammer. The buyer is always 500% correct. Who in there right mind wants to play word games with a person that can give you a neg feedback. The ebay seller needs to add a bit of cost to get over these rare occasions where things go wrong. It is called a sane, realistic business plan. A well thought out Christian business plan. For this person to call themselves a leader of a Christian Church is a total insult........ Let them come up here and deal with the people that come our way and see if there words stop them going to hospital...
