Hi,

I pick up a few $1 dollar rolls from the bank and went through them and found a few interesting coins.

First I believe is a Grease Filled Die of a 2005 WW2 remembrance coin

Then found I believe are a spew roo and a ear error for a 1984 and a 2010

and a real pretty 2011 coin. Better in hand.

The first isn't a Grease Fill because it would only be on one part of the coin. But what you have is something better it looks to me as a light presser die, one of the coins that the mint have used to get the pressure of the die right. The reason I say is because it is consistent on both sides. Great find

I think the weakness on the reverse is from circulation. I reckon the weakness on the obverse is Grease Fill.

Ha! Snap! I just uploaded two roo coins with errors in the same vicinity.

Re the Dancing Man coin, is the thickness uniform and even? Just wondering 'cos the weak strike seems to be in the same area on both sides of the coin.

There ist meant to be many details on the reverse in the corresponding position on the obverse that has weakness. Other than the 1945 being a little weak/worn theres nothing missing.

Ive seen few like this and for sale listed as oil filled die errors still nice coins even if their errors or as inferior blank errors due to metal quality being low supposedly.. even errors need love! Lol

A Grease Filled Die error is just that a die tht was filled with grease. It has nothing to do with an inferior planchet.
