Anyone give me any info on this? Someone local is selling it...looks like it's been cleaned...but would appreciate any help with authenticity and if it is real...what I could offer her that would be fair.

The Draped Bust style usually refers to the half dollars made from 1796 to 1807. Starting in 1807 the design switched to the Capped Bust Half (CBH) type which is what your coin (if genuine) would be. Here are photos of an uncirculated (not cleaned) example of that date, graded Mint State 65 by the NGC grading service. This coin sold in a Heritage auction in 2010 for $9200. We need to see photos of the coin you are asking about. If heavily worn and cleaned it might be valued somewhere in the $25-75 ballpark. Let's take a look!

That photo is too small for accurate judgment but the coin does appear to be relatively high grade, perhaps EF-40 or so. The bright color plus dark haloes around the stars suggest it has been cleaned. It does not appear to be an obvious counterfeit.
Even with a light cleaning a genuine piece in EF grade should be easily worth well over $100. There are also two varieties with different types of lettering on the edge of the coin which are worth even more. Please try to upload larger, sharp images of both sides and perhaps we can give you better information. If you can get some shots of the edge lettering that would also be helpful.

I did try...it was bigger, but when I tried, it said it had to be 100kb. This was the downsized result. :) trying one last time to get it bigger...

From what I can see the coin looks to be OK and in very nice condition. If you can upload an image of the reversewe might be able to give you an overall grade.

I would grade it at least EF-40. Bust halfs are my favorite US coin. This is a very nice example.

There is a deeper gouge in one of the edges...not sure you saw that or not. I appreciate all of your info, folks! Any idea on a value?
