Don't know if you've seen this site yet but you'll find what you need there: http://www.vamworld.com/Peace+Dollar+VAMs

From what I can tell, there is no inherent value difference between the B1 and B2 reverse. That's just a starting point for further inspection of die variation.

When you click on the year and mint to see the list of die variations, it is daunting. If you don't want to look at each listing at least check the ones that have an icon next to them indicating that the variety is listed by PCGS, NCG, etc. In general, those may be more valuable than the 'lesser' varieties.

Good luck!

Thanks for the welcomes and the replies. Yes I have looked at the VAM website mentioned. Daunting is a good way to describe it. When I did find something interesting such as a die crack that matched up with a known variety I then checked ebay to see if there was a similar coin. Kind of disappointing. Found no real differences in price. Oh well it was an interesting way to kill an afternoon!
