tracy47918040(aka dknies1947) is back to her old crack-out scam:
This crook just bought this coin and cracked out this coin from it's PCGS Fine details-plugged holder:
http://stacksbowers.com/Auctions/Au...LotID=435456

She has it listed on ebay with no mention of the known major defect:

Rest in Peace

Looks to me like she cracked it out of an NNC holder. Do you think she bought it from the original crack out artist? It makes no sense mention any names as it is not required. We all know who NNC is on the bay.

Looks to me the seller cracked it out of a PCGS holder and put it in an NNC holder.

scubu is 100% correct. I guess tracy47918040, thought she could obfuscate the crack-out by putting the coin into an NNC joke holder

I'd like somebody to point out that plug for me, too, RK55.

Same coin!

Markers are circled.

And is it the slight discoloration between the "E" and "R"
that show the plug?

"is it the slight discoloration between the "E" and "R"

That would be my guess......this coin has been soo heavily tooled and scrubbed and the surfaces so badly potmarked, it's hard to locate without having the coin in hand.

Is it me or is the "E" in liberty kind of out of place?

its a little easier to see the plug on the Reverse Photo. I couldn't see it very well either but if you look at the Reverse photo from Stacks Bowers you can see where the plug is down below the Bow close to the viewers left end of the bow string. It looks like a circular area on the coin but is hidden pretty well from the condition of the coin but I am guessing it can be seen more clearly in hand because its probably high or low compared to the rest of the coin in that area

she is also now no longer a registered user under this ID but I'm sure she'll be back

My report.

Quote:
Crackout artist. This coin was purchased at Stacks recently in a PCGS holder with a plugged designation. It was reholdered in a BS slab (NNC) with no mention of the plug. More info at this link... https://goccf.com/t/145563 There are links there to the original Stacks listing, and a photo comparison of the two listings. No question it's the same coin. This account is also previous seller dknies1947 who was NARU'd. Thanks for looking!

Stick a fork in her.

And all you members here that say ebay doesn't care, stick a fork in yourselves too. I got the listing AND the seller removed within a few hours.
