Hopefully the bidder with 306 feedback wins. Bidders get excited when they see a WOW! in the title!!

Maybe it's the funky tip of the 7,or the dot between the 3 and 7. Could be a good day for you to buy lottery tickets.

There is a little blob at the bottom of the 7, maybe a double strike? Would that add $60 to the value? I hope the 306 guy wins... $92! Maybe I should get a lotto ticket My friend will be happy! {I'm selling it for her. She had it sitting around for so long, decided it wasn't doing her any good.

Personally I usually don't like it when my auctions go far above expectations. It typically means one of two things:
1- It's some variety and I am getting cherry picked 2- Someone *thinks* it is a variety or better than it is. They get it in hand and decide it isn't what they thought (hoped) and they return it. I had this happen with a 1926 near 6 nickel. It was clearly a near 6 by the picture, but two bidders thought maybe it was a far 6.

Hi noah, You are correct about this being an awful looking coin... there's nothing special about it... it's worth today's silver bullion melt value which is $17.64 Occasionally you get two bidders with "auction fever" that want to duke it out in a peeing contest to prove that they can out-keyboard the other... "MMTB"... more money than brains For some people though ebay bidding becomes a form of entertainment... they can't help themselves and get caught up in the excitement of the bidding and it interferes with their judgement... kind of like an addiction... I had same happen to me once with a low grade common date coin that should have sold for maximum $20 bucks... two bidders drove it up over $80... Take care, and Have a Great Weekend! cameron93

Did you end up getting paid for it? How did it work out?

No problems with the transaction... winner of auction made good on commitment to purchase. Most buyers don't want a non-pay strike on their ebay record... But then most eBayers don't get involved in ridiculous bidding wars... I wouldn't worry much about it... if you get paid out it's a bonus... :) If not... you've still got coin and can re auction it...

This is a very odd thread - sellers worried about too much bidding. I would imagine 99% of the sellers on ebay are worried about the exact opposite.

@lyradnoj
I have reason to wonder. I have had 17 unpaid item cases in the last year alone.

On principal I kind of wish it went for under spot because you have "WOW" in the title. I've looked at it on and off all this morning and I'm not sure what is making it go so high. Part of me thinks it might be the bottom of the seven. Edit: To explain, my think was that they might think it is a double HP variety because the seven looks like it might be doubled. That is the only thing I can come up with.
