Looking back at this post I see some members mentioned that asking a member to do a search on the topic as negative.

I disagree.

It is not like I said .. to go search before posting... with out any other information.
My point of view is .. he is a older person .. mentioned he has a wife.
I did not just say it is not a 1922 no D ... I have seen that posted many times.

I think I asked nice ( I said please) to search online for a site Lincoln resource center.

Then gave my opinion, that I did not think it was a 22 no D.

I think in this case the member did find the site .. made the determination on what coin he has.

So now he has a good site and I feel he is be more knowledgeable about this subject.

As I mentioned before, having memebers learn about doing some research is something
we should be doing ... in addition to giving opinions.

I have quite a few sites .. and books I turn to .. not just CCF ..

and that is not to say anything negative about CCF .. just saying there is more

Not a weak D. I suggest you spend some time looking at images of these on ha.com. Membership is free.

Not a weak D at all. Oddly enough though, at many coin shows and coin stores, I see coins that are labled as weak D, no D, etc. And there appears there are as many ideas of what a weak D is as there are dealers selling them.
They seam to go from almost full D to slightly weaker and weaker until almost gone. All depends on who is selling and who wants what.

Please forgive my ignorance of not researching the daylights out of it before asking a question.
No need to apologize, ever. This is a place to ask questions. Everyone comes here with their own level of experience, with coins and online forums.

We should never assume that everyone knows how to do everything.

Just my thoughts, not a condemnation towards anyone...

The OP was asking for an opinion on this specific coin. I read it as a question, not one that asks what a 1922-D "Weak D" is, but whether or not this coin qualifies. There was no way to know at first, but maybe they already did some research, formed their own opinion, and wanted to see what the community though about it.

If this were the case, a search would have not done any good.
