This coin refuse to photograph with my meager equipment anywhere near how it looks in hand. The field on the reverse is mirror like...it looks like a proof.

It does have a "rub" on the shoulder, cheekbones, and ear so its obviously been out of the womb. There are clearly superfine scratches visible under a loupe but it retains what appears to be proof like qualities. It was found in my "best unc rolls" box. It was all by itself in a 2x2. I have no recollection of where it came from but there were five rolls MS-63 + lincolns...37D/43D/45D/43S/43P and 55S in the box as well. Pics of some of those to follow. I also came across my Coin and Currnecy Institute" 1941 - present lincoln book with UNC coins in every slot except of course the 55 DD. Pics to follow. Cant wait to share

I don't know what it is about this particular coin but it simply will not be photographed and look ANYTHING like the coin in hand. The bright copper toning is 100% not in the pics. tried different lighting...don't know what else to do. I will have my son the computer Geek hook up his old man.Gonna take a day or two. I really want you to see this coin as it appears in hand.

about the photos.

This is perhaps the 4th or 5th reply I've made to a Gazot thread where we have asked for photos large enough to offer help and support.

Truly wish to offer an educated opinion ... perhaps Gazot should seek the Mod Dudes support on how to size the otherwise acceptable photos.

It could be but it doesn't look like it is.

Make your photos larger. Reduce the image quality not size.
