So I'm about to find out if I'm new and improved with my "make the pictures BIGGER Gaz" directive from the masses.

No yelling...help a newbie out....acceptable for attempting to grade or no..not yet? If not tell me why. I know I didnt give you the whole obverse..

I see they are not all CRISP...i posted the second shot of the right side of the reverse because the wheat ears looked poor on the whole reverse shot posted. Just wanted you to see it was better than the shot made it look.

Hi Gaz, A lot better photos..

You can see the Wheat's real good, great looking coin, a bit of wear on Lincolns beard.

This is a tough one. The 12-D is one of those issues that is known for non-parallel dies thus showing some strike weakness. The beard/hair details are quite nice on this one. It's really hard to tell if this coin is AU or MS from the given pictures. I don't see any luster, the coin appears flat, which could indicate AU. But the details make me want to say MS as I don't see much going on at the design high points. I call it a slider....

Yes.. I agree Thad, I thought it looked MS too except for a little rub here and there, that's why I said AU..

It's a very nice looking early Lincoln, I'll say that.

I see just a trace of wear on the cheek and beard, and a tiny bit on the tip of the wheat stalks.

AU-58. Stellar looking coin, especially for that year.

Not for nothing....mine blows this one away. I will bring it to a third party for an opinion. I see your points...there does appear to be the slightest rubs in the pics and by definition that means its an AU. As someone noted...it's a slider. IMO

Good idea on getting it slabbed. Let the TPG decide. Coins like this are VERY difficult to figure out with just pictures. Does it have any cartwheel luster? Any remaining luster will likely decide the grade. Even if it does come back AU-58, that would be good. AU coins are typically more in demand than the MS60-63 coins.
