I just wanted to verify that this is an RPM split sheriff on top and bottom of the primary MM. I thought that it might be 1mm009 but the only markers I could find was the 2 die chips on the E in WE and the D in GOD.

Better pics of the MM without that shading may help you. I am interested in this post because I do not know much about RPM and I am trying to learn more. I have a few in my collection but I have allot more that may or may not be RPM that I found.

Straight on shots of just the mint mark, as well as a shot with the mint mark and date would go a long way in helping you. Like these:

That's nice and looks like a RPM mark to me. Wish I could help you figure out which one. I do have another question about the coin, is that MD on the face or is that a shadow?

Block out the LED's and use a hand held light.

On this pic I was using a cheap little one bulb light my daughter got me for Xmas and I don't wanna break her heart not using it lol. What would be a good light to get and the type of bulb to use I would really appreciate it.

I am about to run a test on a new USB camera. I believe the video demonstrations on the ebay page I bought it from show great potential, check this out:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/20090760068....m1439.l2649

If the link does not work, type this in the ebay search bar: "Mini 2MP USB Digital Microscope Circuit board Inspection" Scroll down to the bottom of the description and watch the videos. I am not saying buy one right now but it looks like it does the job. I am tired of holding a loop in one hand while taking pictures with my other using an android phone.

daniels do not use the LED lights on the scope. Use the one bulb your daughter bought. point it direct at the coin from above, but cover it by placing a Wal-mart bag over it. The thin white plastic of the bag will diffuse the light to avoid glaring.

I believe that my new camera is going to work out well. The leds are off on most of these pics but I have not set up a real good lamp yet but I plan on it. Experimenting with a tip I read about here and it works well with white paper covering the light source from hitting the coin directly, give that a try because other than the glare, your pics have good detail. If you care to see my new post using that new camera, here it is:

Got the camera bidding for like 45 bucks, to buy it outright would cost 80

So are you using the paper and wrapping it around the bulb or putting the paper up in front of the light kinda leaning on the scope? And also what kind of paper like tissue paper or plain old white printer paper thanks again.

Standard paper that you would use in your printer and I do not put the paper against the scope at all, taped to the lamp shade usually works fine for me. Right now I need a stronger bulb but I plan on buying a different lamp, that is shorter than the one I use now.

I'm gonna try it out this weekend and see how it goes hopefully it will do the trick or I'll have to get a better light that will shine through the paper, being I'm an electrician I'm sure I can make that happen lol

I forgot to mention, black paper or cloth, any dark colored material underneath the coin will help absorb some of that lighting as well. Well good luck I hope it works out for you.
