Hmmm, I smell a possible scam- member since 4/25/07, zero feedback, selling (potentially)thousands of dollars worth of coins in nondescriptive auctions with pile pics, and all sales final

Besides, anyone that refers to century old silver coins as "clutter" is a real jerk IMO

Everything about these auctions seems calculated to stimulate peoples "greed glands". You've got the elderly woman that just wants the "clutter" out of her house. The references to no reserve & these will sell at any price. The person doing the listing implies that he has no apparent knowledge of coins, otherwise he would have left them in the holders & sold individually. Of course, that's offset by the arrangement of the coins. The nickel auction has several Shield nickels on top, the half auction has several bust halves scattered around & the dollars on the top of the pile appear to be uncirculated & toned. I think the whole thing is carefully planned to get maximum bids out of people who think they are somehow getting a "deal".

I emailed them the following about the quarter lot:

<<Hi--could you make these coins available for personal inspection if I were able to travel to you prior to the end of the auction?

Thanks very much-->>

We'll see what they say.

At least the quareters are staying around melt value. I have no idea what people saw in the other two auctions to illicit such pricing....
