Is there a general calendar for coin shows in the Denver area? Or a website that has current information? My son and I want to start checking out some of these shows but I can't seem to find reliable information. I've found a few random coin club websites but I can't figure if they are public shows or if you have to be a member... any help or links would be great! Thanks in advance all!

This is the one I use but on occasion they miss a show. Generally the clubs have all the dates cause they have people who have tables.

You don't happen to have one with current dates do you? I heard there was a show at the Red Lyon Inn on April 6th or the 13th I can't for the life of me remember where I found it.

Yeah there's one at the Red Lyon on the 7th. It's a smaller show maybe 30 tables so its nice to get to know the dealers and what they like. Try going to this one if you have questions because the dealers have a lot more time to talk.

The expo show is going to be a way bigger show. I'm excited for that one. Well worth the wait in my opinion.

Thanks Coindog! I will try to make it to this one but it's not looking good... Having never been to a coin show I'd sure like to cut my teeth on it. Maybe things will change. Are you going to the expo? What can I expect from something like that? My curren tlove is Lincoln pennies (wheats mostly), small dollar coins, and other fairly easy modern coins. I'm really excited to take a look at some of the older pieces and drool but I'm pretty much going to have a general list of what I want and then browse the rest of the time. Get me and my son a hotdog and some more state and ATB Quarters... Does this seem realistic or will it be super crazy and hard to get around?

Another question for anyone not specific to Denver shows. Do others bring their Dansco albums with them as an aid to find what they are looking for? Or should I just write out what I need and use my iPhone or a pad of paper? I guess I just don't want to look too much like a newbie you know, that new kid in school thing and all... :)

Leave your albums at home, but bring a list. Does not matter if you use a smartphone or a piece of paper, just use whatever you are comfortable with using.
