Can anyone tell me about this medallion? Is it rare? Any information would be really interesting. My farther in law found this when he was really young and wants to know more about it.

The face has " barber" and on the back side of the medallion it has "published by griffin & hvams" and below the bunch of people there are the initials "IBF" in the picture.
