That sounds like the best of the bunch. Nice luster on that one! Great buy.

Nice lot of three coins for that price.

Need some input from you to offer a grade opinion on this Lexington-Concord.

The photos appear to show an MS coin ... so take a look at the high points of the design and advise if you notice any circulation rub ...

On the obverse ... look closely at the legs of the Minuteman. On the reverse ... the high point is the lower corner of the Old Belfry structure where it transitions into the rock foundation.

If no wear at either location than I am going MS63 ... held back by the reverse scattered bag hits. The obverse fields and portraits are clean.

If wear ... than an AU58 slider.

Nice coin ... Thanks for sharing.

BTW ... this would get much better visibility if posted in the US Commemorative forum.

David,

There are no luster or frost breaks, I'm pretty sure it's MS. It was definitely mishandled at one point, it has a fingerprint on the reverse. I think that will come off with a quick, weak dip but I don't have the guts to dip a coin like this. Will the hits on the reverse really hold it to a 63? I was looking at some on HA and it looks more like a 64 to me.

Nice looking coin - it doesn't appear to have the wear marks you normally see on these. The details on the obverse are nice and the pant legs appear clean. I agree the bag marks on the reverse are really the only ding to the coin - but for under $50 I am impressed - great find!

I forgot - I want to see the 21 Pilgrim you stole for under $50 as well!

Nice coin!

My eyes see rub marks on the legs of the Minuteman on the obverse, but it could just be the image. If the "rub" is real, I would agree with nickelsearcher's assessment as an AU-58 - if not, then I see an MS-63 as well.

Where do you find time to score deals like this on ebay while going through all of those boxes of halves?
