Or do you think it is just a regular overrated error? Andrew

overrated at first it looked good and all and even I bid on some and lostof course, but in the end, I figured it's just a coin which you can easily replicate at home that imo, for personal sense, isn't worth the trouble of buying, but for collecting purposes, only a graded one would do.

Ah... I was able to secure a graded one before the hype, now they're through the roof. I just wanted a neat error I guess- but totally agree with you in that they're overrated.

hmm I think they seem to be going down and down in price nowadays. I remember the first graded one that came out were around $500ish now you can find them between $100 - $200 so the hype was huge due to media coverage and they should be leveling down sometime soon.

NO! I collect Major errors, not common ones made in mass.

I would rather have a MS-65 over an error coin any day of the week.

If this was made in mass wouldn't this just be considered a variety not an error? My take is that there are 3 varieties, top of lettering towards the obverse, top of lettering towards the reverse, and no lettering on the edge of the dollar.

I managed to find two of them in the 10 rolls I searched. Living close to Florida does have its advantages. But honestly, they're really overrated, especially with reports of some people having over 400 errors in a box of 1000 (not all no edge lettering).

I don't know. Wouldn't this be the first time in the history of US coins to have one without not only our motto, but dateless? If so, I think the value and interest will always be there.

I only paid $55 US for my graded one- now they're over $130, I'd have to agree with treasurehunter, even though I don't live in the U.S, a dateless, motto-less coin is pretty interesting to me, even if they were made en-masse. Andrew

Normally, same here, but I thought this one too interesting to resist, since it is moto-less, dateless, and SUPPOSED to be the first US coin with edge lettering in over 200(?) years.
