compare the example you posted to the one in the thread. I agree that there are soft spots in the one you posted that are similar to the ones on the posted coins, these soft spots where many times due to die wear. keep in mind that the dies are reversed so that the low point on the coin are actually high points on the die. these tend to wear out first, especially on those early copper dies. this will cause the low areas on the coins to show wear first. taking that into consideration, compare the high points on the 2 coins, there is clearly wear across all of the high points in the hair and cheek. the reverse shows wear not only on the high points but also the bow. I would say that the low point leaves at 12 and 1 o'clock and the "1" are most likely due to die wear or a weak strike, thus my grade of VF20. I must admit that this was more difficult to determine wear vs strike and should have looked closer at it.
