There are a lot more issues with that coin than a chemical reaction. There are some serious friction marks. Did this coin get inside the drum over the course of several spin cycles?

I think its a 2000 WAM w/ RPD&MM. Unfortunately, I think it might get a details grade.

Can clearly see the LG mint mark on the obverse radiating frome center to 6 & 4 O clock. Yes a very nice find!  Quote: It's a die variety, I found the die.
