Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me with this coin please?
It looks like a very worn George 11 halfpenny to me but all the ones I've seen have BRITAN NIA on the reverse, this one clearly has ISLES.
Measures 28mm.
I am not a coin collector, just have an old tin full of coins.
Thanks for your time, all the best Nikki

Might be an evasion or counterfeit.
Post a scan and then we can comment accurately.

Would the Britannia side of your coin look like this?

If so, it is indeed an "evasion copper;" an 18th century counterfeit with a deliberate, sometimes witty, change in design from the official coin, supposedly to provide deniability if one were charged with counterfeiting, as it's not exactly a copy. Here's a good write-up on the subject:

Oh, and welcome!
