Hello members,

There is a problem to you.

Among three old Canadian coin, are there all maple leaves on the reverse sides?

Bottom left, 20 Cents 1862 New Brunswick, no proble, there are maple leaves on the reverse.

Bottom right, 25 Cents 1872 Canada, also maple leaves on the reverse.

The top, 20 Cents 1858 Canada, are there maple leaves or others on the reverse side?

Who can tell me the answer? Thank you in advance.

The variable leaf morphology on the 1862 almost made me think of Hedera helix, or English ivy, if not for the inclusion of the winged maple seeds. As for the 1858, I'm thinking of the genus Crataegus, or hawthorn. It can be used in wreaths, particularly at Christmastime, in the British Commonwealth.

Wade's suggested article is interesting. Thank you both of you, Wade and philadelphian. No sure answer there here unless the Mint announced the details.
