That begins to reach the quality of miscroscope I'd recommend if I were interested in recommending microscopes. I note with happiness that they mention the extra magnification offered by the sensor, something we've known all along with digital cameras but rarely mentioned by the cheap USB microscope manufacturers because it tends to hint that the optics aren't of much value.
And that's kind of a point here - $250 is about the spot where I think the quality of the optics will (barely) reach the level of "acceptable." Trouble is, if they spend the money on optics, then the digital sensor won't be worth much, and if they provide a quality sensor, the optics won't be worth much.
Furthermore, only the lowest level of magnification, 40x, will ever have any use with coins, and you can count on a miniscule field of view.
Reasons like these are why you've never heard me speak highly of USB microscopes.
