I found my $2 again yesterday while going through my keepsakes it was in the back of a picture that I sketched when I was little, iv had a quick look on the net about $2 notes and it said that they were made in 1966 my question is do they have the same prefix system as polymer notes?

To tell what year a note is you need to look at the signatures.

I remember in 1988 you could buy a 600 ml soft drink $1.20 and an all day fair $0.80 with that. Oh how lovely inflation is.

I remember in the early 70's, you could buy a meat pie (15 cents) with sauce (2 cents extra), a salad sandwich for 17 cents, a Coke soft drink for 12 cents. A vanilla paddle pop from Streets for 10 cents.
A "kids 3 course feast" for 56 cents. Plenty of change from a "twoer".
