I have about 6 or 7 steel US 1943 one cent coins.
Some with s , some with d mint marks .coins are pretty worn.
Anything to look for in errors or are they just face value?
Thanks

They are most likely face value, but see if any coins have a thick "D" mint mark, as that could be a doubled die.

EDIT: Sorry, yes, steel cents are worth more than face value. I'm too used to people asking if wheat pennies are worth a lot, and then I have to reply, "one penny" most of the time. I don't normally pay for than a penny for steel cents, as they come in rolls I buy, but overall, they are worth more.

You need to weigh all the 1943 cents. A few were struck on bronze planchets by error. Zinc-coated steel would be 2.70 grams, bronze would be 3.11 grams.
1943 D has a D/S and a doubled D.
As John1 stated all, "worth more than face value."

I used to have over 4,000 of them. Started giving them to kids for fun. Now down to over 2,500 or so. I've kept the best ones though. Also, those 43 Cents are and have been for a long time a coin for playing with for people that like to plate stuff. Some are plated with Zinc, Tin, Chrome and Copper. Not sure if any are Gold or Silver plated though. I'm trying to accumulate an entire roll of the Chrome plated ones. Only have 3 of the Copper plated ones. Zinc plated ones are the most commonly plated ones since people try to sell them as Uncirculated or close to it since they look newesh. I've always wondered what else they've been plated with. Always have fun with the Copper plasted ones.
