Think the chinese won't counterfeit low value coins? think again, bought these together with some fake silver's (non-canadian). Don't worry, returned them and got refund through dispute on paypal.
These had the correct weights and size, as did the silver's.

Nothing counterfeit about these examples at all... just indications of weak strikes with worn / damaged dies...

Sorry I disagree, all of the rim nicks are fresh, that just seems to unlikely, there are too many lettering errors and the toning on one side of the coin is different than that of the other. Together with the fact that the silver coins
that came along with these were not silver strenghtens my belief that these also are fake.

If you buy in China you must be cautious for sure, I would be concerened about buying colonial tokens from Canada in China in the first place, I got burned myself ,,
Iwould like to say buy only certified but I understand they copy these as well .

Maybe I'm being too stubborn here but took a look at all New Brunswick 1843 half penny's currently on ebay with HQ pics
and don't see any with so many lettering errors and take a look at the sea line I marked in blue, never seen such a blob before. Aswell as missing inner reeds which is also a sign of counterfeits.
when it's supposed to be straight

Rob9099, I live in New Brunswick and was out metal detecting yesterday and found a New Brunswick LC. They look legit and the same as my coin. I found an NB half penny last year and it looks the same as the ones that you claim to be Chinese counterfeits. I agree with everyone else, they are not fake.
