It would be hard to NOT NOTICE the immense beauty and variety offered by the Australian mints. Maybe if we continue to send our money down there the U.S. Mint and government will finally open their blind eyes to something other than politics?

I can only wish.

American currency is so bloody boring. The State Quarters series was a breath of fresh air; the Presidential dollar coins seem like they'll be hard to get ahold of, shy of going into a bank. Why we ever stopped producing the lovely and graceful coins from the early 1900s I'll never understand. The Presidents just aren't as lovely.

The Australian mints, on the other paw, put out enough beautiful material to keep me bankrupted easily if I don't watch myself. The Lunar coin series, the Kookaburras, the circulation Pre and Decimal coins.
