Hello. Are these 4 coins all the high 9 variety? I had heard there is a medium as well but haven't seen a picture. Thanks

Thay all look high to me. Sometimes I think wear on the tail of the 2 causes a bit of an optical illusion.

Nice! How many did you go through to get those?

Here is a listing with a very high grade CCCS high 9 to compare to......

The #4 is a 'medium high 9', #1 and #2 are High 9 coins, the scarcest - 'high far 9' is coin #3...

SPP
what do you mean by high far?

smallcentguy
I found them out of a batch of 30 1929's. There might be a few more high ones. My eyes were just starting to bug out after staring for so long. I needed a break

DEVLEC - It looks like a normal low 9 to me but that coin is gorgeous!

- stack a high and low, then photograph for easy analysis.

# 3 appears re-engraved(there is a thinner 9 type)

Thanks CanadianCollector, it's the only choice specimen that I have right now. Graded SP65 Red by ICCS.

I have no business strikes of the 29. This along with a 1919 large were in the same soft plastic slip rim touching each other at an auction a long time age.

I didn't have either,..so bid and got them.
They were kind of dark and fingerprinted but also had an old clear coating... I think. ICCS liked it a lot......
