I find the lowest prices online at Goldmart.com. If you are thinking of purchasing gold worth $7500 or more, it is a great place to buy gold from. Shipping is free on 7500 and above. But their best prices are on 1 oz bars or higher.

For smaller bars like 1 gram, 5 gram, ebay is a decent place IF you take care to buy only from reputed sellers.

I try to avoid ebay. I have't purchased anything on ebay in about two years. But I like the goldmart they do have good prices, about 5 bucks less. Although 7500 is a bit more than I usually spend in one shot, it's doable.

Barry, I hope you've requested one of those mint boxes from them. If/when you get to 10, that would be a pretty cool kilo of gold to have.

I'm still waiting for delivery for the first four 100 gram bars I purchased, so I just called to order a fifth and see if they could could combine all three orders and ship them at once. They agreed, and so I figured I would press my luck and ask if they had any extra mint boxes lying around.

Good news! They have an extra box and will be sending it to me. Now, I just have to buy five more bars to fill the box...

I wish I had that kind of money to spend and the confidence in my purchase!

I am thinking of getting a roll of maples, and a 1/4 oz gold maple (or maybe a phil, or a krug), but I definitely have the cart queued up at goldmart!

I've made 3 ETF purchases today. I am hoping that when premiums drop I can do the swap.

Yep, and their ASEs are now selling for $3.89 above spot instead of first $2.99 and then $3.29. Seeing as how spot has dropped something like $4 in the last few days, however, I guess an extra $0.90 isn't that bad...

Their 100 gram Pamp Suisse gold bars are still sitting at $19.99 over spot, however, which is why I bout another one. I keep wondering how long that low premium can possibly last.

Premiums on the 100-gram Pamp Suisse gold bars is now $23.99. In the mean time, however, the spot price has dropped another $30 or so since my last purchase.

Alot of people have liquidity problems too. This will even out. I sold some McDonalds stock that I've had for 13 years just raise more cash.

Sadly, Goldmart is no longer even offering the 100-gram PAMP Suisse bars for sale. I was hoping to pick up a few more if the prices started to drop again. Oh well, he who hesitates...

I buy all my bullion AT spot price now. There is a local "we buy gold" place here that sells all their gold and silver bullion and coin that has no real numismatic value at spot.

I find it hard tho think that investing in 100 gram gold bars could be a bad thing in this drop if one can afford such and investment as Barry can....

You could wake up one day and find 4 dollar silver, but gold will always hold its value in short on long run IMO. sure it could fall to 1k and oz., I doubt it but any lower then that would be a real shock to me atleast with the run gold has had since early 2000....
