What is the preferred method of packing and shipping currency? I have shipped a handful of coins with no issues, but wasn't sure if there were certain precautions to take. Thanks!

I happened to get some currency in the mail today. The note was in an archival-safe currency holder. The holder was taped to a piece of card board. And that was inside a small padded envelope.

I safely wrap mine in paperboard and put it in a bubble mailer. If you are selling something like a $100, then I would get insurance.

What others have said + non-bubble mailer + insurance (registered for over $500).

I generally package a note inside one of those photo envelopes and put that into a bubble mailer. Works like a charm.

Security envelope (not see-through) + plastic currency holder + stiff cardboard. All the while trying to keep the weight down. Haven't gotten any complaints. Haven't done anything past the U.S., though.
