Does anyone else have a problem with cardboard 2x2 holders that have cardboard shreads on the plastic film? I find it annoying. How do you deal with this if your a 2x2 user? Are there higher quality 2x2's that aren't like this?

I know what yoy mean nds76. Sometimes I will wipe it with a lightly damped cloth and let it dry completely before inserting the coin. It works for me.

I do the same thing. I have seen different "brands" of them and some I have are all clean cut and some have shreads as you say.

I play bass trombone, I just use lung capacity to clear out the shreds.

I also use the cans of compressed air specifically designed for computers ,,it contains no moisture.

Trivia,
The cans of compressed "Air" you get for your computer are either.
1. The exact same R134A refrigerant used in your car's air conditioner. or
2. The byproduct of the process for making R134A Refrigerant.
So next time you get your car's AC checked and they tell you that you have to have them fix it or they need to empty the AC system, you can tell them BS because you know it's perfectly acceptable to blow the refrigerant off to atmosphere as millions already do when they clean their computers (and now also their coin supplies).

I too just blow the stuff off. If that won't move it, I just leave it. Hasn't hurt any of my coins. Of course if it really bothers you, there is always a Butane torch. Seriously, it is annoying but no big thing.

I was getting 2x2's that didn't have any cardboard shreds on it until the supplier changed stock. I've been looking for them ever since.

I find its mostly the 2x2's for the smaller coins from cents to quarters but half dollars and up don't seem to have this problem as bad.

I keep tapping them on the edge to jar everything loose and then dust off the windows with a clean bandana.

I tap them on my desk and then wipe the inside of them on a microfiber cloth. The microfiber won't scratch the plastic window and the paper dust sticks to it (the cloth) like crazy.
