That appears to be a British Indian rupee from the 18th century. Although I am not as familiar with these coins as I should be, it seems that the date "1172" is visible at the top of the second image. I believe that this date translates to 1759. However, British Indian rupees tended to have "frozen dates," so it may have been minted later in the century.

What I know about this coin:

It was a silver rupee struck at British (EIC) Madras Presidency, the year minted was 1758 (AH1172) at the reign of Shah Alamgir II. The weight of this coin is 11.76 grams, 27.8mm in diameter.

Drnsreedhar is the expert of Indian coins in this forum.

I post the same coin in the following thread, drnsreedhar seemed not recognised my question.
