hey all,
I just had a question on the 1988 Canadian 1.00 coin the images are both in the same position on the back and the front . I was wondering if that was correct for this coin or if its a mint error.any information would be greatly appreciated ,i can post you some images later if you need them
thank you for your time...

This is correct. Recent Canadian issues are struck "medal axis" unlike US coins. Some older coins are intentionally rotated 180 degrees.

If you look at any Canadian coin they should all be turned 180 degrees (at least in the 20th and 21st ) if not then it is ether a mint error or a fake. Although there are a few exceptions.

1908 was the change over year with the establishment of the RCM. Previously only pennies were done in medal orientation.
