Done with my Lincolns (except 22 plain), done with my Washington's and Jefferson's and Merc's are short 3 pieces so I decided to start on my Roosevelt's which where less than 1/3 full. Figured this would be affordable enough. Trouble is the first two coins I bought were slabbed PCGS MS66FB's. Why I don't know. I now am the owner of 12 MS65 and 66FB's. These are getting quite pricy and I find ebay is limited. Does anyone else collect these FB's? Where can I find an outlet besides ebay for buying them? I'm limited to 2 shows a year around here. Why is the 70's and some 80's so expensive. Could use some input on these from you Gurus on the Forum.

Thanks

I just posted a 51-D Roosevelt NGC (if you want to mix it up a bit) MS66FB in Buy It Now...over on the left side of the screen.

I have used Collectorscorner to throw a wide lasso around some dealers.

Thanks for mentioning it but its one of the ones I have in PCGS. Think I paid $43 for it. Everytime I find something on Collectors Corner when I go to buy it they are not available or never get back to me. Have bought 2 off of there though. Most of what I see on ebay are mostly heavily marked stuff. They call it toned, I call it corroded. I like toned coins but these are a bunch of spots. Have been wondering if maybe now is the time to pick up FB 2011's and 2012 while they are cheap enough. Thanks.

Thanks for the input. Am going to add some 2010-2013 coins in FB while they are cheap enough.. Anyone have any ideas regarding the "Satin Finish" FB's. Are they worth bothering with?

Because they're pretty indifferently-struck. Some are surprisingly rare in high grade with FB.

I see what you mean about the 70 FB's. Most are over $1,000 in MS67 and $200-$900 in MS66. But in the month or so I have been collecting them I have yet to see a '70 to '79 FB for sale anywhere. Am now starting to pick up 2010 through 2013 and putting them aside for the grandkids.
