I just wanted to see if any of you see anything wrong with this coin. I am thinking about purchasing it, but would like your opinion before I pull the trigger. These are the only pics I have of the coin, and they aren't the greatest.

Based on these photos, I would not purchase this coin. The devices and the fields have the same dull appearance. I can't even tell if it's uncirculated. There are wonderful examples of this date/ mm. Unless you have a deal that is maybe XF money or less I'd pass. Just my opinion.

Just starting to retone after a very heavy cleaning. Look at the nooks and crannies inside the lettering, so see the stuff they missed. I guarantee what you're not seeing in the pictures is some extreme hairlining from the cleaning, and I wouldn't do much above melt for this one. The other alternative is what's left in the tight areas was just toning, and someone left this thing in E-zest for half an hour. That would explain the lifeless look of the coin.

Either way, all I have for the person responsible for this is

At under $85.00 it's not a bad buy, it's still a CC after all. But with the comments above. Pass if you're not sure, there are a lot of these availible in the marketplace.
